Inaugural Game Columbus Crew Stadium

Set includes a Tabloid, Decal, Stadium Guide and “GOAL!” Placard.This was a milestone event in American soccer—our first soccer-specific stadium.

I traveled with a buddy to Columbus for this inaugural. We had been to many MLS milestone events and this was a can’t miss event.

Nowadays, Columbus Crew (Mapfre) Stadium is one of 15 soccer-specific stadiums (and a little lacking in amenities).

The Crew’s owners are trying to relocate the team to Austin Texas in 2019. Although the Crew has lagged in progress compared to most MLS teams, the squad is competitive and the fan base is loyal.
