GOAL Magazine, featuring Denis Potvin of the Stanley Cup Champion New York Islanders on the cover. Read the interesting article about “The Trade That Won The Stanley Cup”. The Islanders found the missing piece with Butch Goring acquired from the Kings. Goring was arguably the most loved Kings player ever and fans liked seeing him get to hoist the cup. 15,124 were on hand at the Forum to watch the Kings beat the Champion Islanders 5-3 in an exciting game. The program is in pretty good condition however the staple binding needs to be handled gently.
