Phoenix Roadrunners 1994 Program & Ticket Stub

The Phoenix Roadrunners were a verey successful minor league team that had its roots in the old Western Hockey League (WHL) where they won back-to-back titles (1972–73 & 1973–74) with Sandy Hocul, Adam Keller and Robbie Ftorek. They moved up to the World Hockey Association (WHA) basically intact as the Western Hockey League folded, but ultimately folded. A Pacific Hockey League version of the ‘Runners played 2 seasons before that league folded and the desert was without hockey for a decade. The Franchise was resurrected in 1989 in the International Hockey League where they enjoyed a lot of success before the NHL Phoenix Coyotes ultimately forced them out.
