A record Balboa Stadium crowd of 34,865 watched the Buffalo Bills edge the San Diego Chargers 27- 24 on November 26, 1964.

Be sure to read the game news clippings in the photo gallery. Great stuff. I like the letter from Sid Gillman asking local businesses to hire the players in the offseason and at the ends of their careers. Football didn’t pay all the bills back then.

My Dad and mom attended the game. We were in town for Thanksgiving and Mom was excited about seeing the Buffalo Bills. She grew up in Buffalo and her parents still lived there.
