San Diego Stingrays Inaugural Scorecard

Probably the best effort in San Diego for minor league basketball. The San Diego Stingrays drew 9,762 fans to their Inaugural game November 27, 1999. The ‘Rays defeated the Las Vegas Silver Bandits 102-100 in double overtime. Crowds fell off as the team just couldn’t seem to win a game—but the 3,000-4,000 fans  who attended were far better than the previous team—the Wildcards. Ultimately, they too folded and joined the graveyard of hoops teams to call San Diego home.
