Featuring new Venezuelan DT (Head Coach) Cesar Farias. Farias tried to force an “up the middle” ground game on a team that was built for counter attacking. His tenure was short and was dotted with lots of late ties as he subbed in defenders way too early in an effort to “Park the Bus”. Unfortunately, fan favorite Fidel Martinez didn’t fit into this new system and was shuffled off to Leones Negros. After this, the Xolos became known for selling off their best players at the expense of team-building.
