Los Angeles Sharks promotional bright orange Bumper Sticker.

The Los Angeles Sharks were a World Hockey Association (WHA) team that began at the league’s inception in 1972. The Sharks tried to give the NHL Los Angeles Kings a run for their money, in 1972-73 they averaged 5,982 to the Kings 10,833. Then in 1973-74 attendance dipped to 5,338 (the Kings increased to 11,113) and the Sharks packed their bags and moved to Cobo Hall in Detroit to become the Michigan Stags—for half a season before bugging out to Baltimore (Blades) and then folding altogether.
