Once In A Lifetime: The Extraordinary Story of the New York Cosmos. Chronicles the New York Cosmos soccer team and its existence during the decadent 1970s. Through random, ego-driven and impulsive decisions, the team’s flamboyant “larger than life” players (Pele, Beckenbauer, Carlos Alberto) and executives (Ahmet Ertegun, Steve Ross, then President of Warner Communications) made a hit success of “soccer” US-style with a fan base including everyone from the fashion, music (Mick Jagger), political (Henry Kissenger) and business worlds only to see it all capitulate in the early 80s.
