San Diego Mariners 1975 Playoff Game Program

This San Diego Mariners 1975 Playoff Game Program featured the Mariners vs the Toronto Toros.

The Sports Arena was sold out and fans were all over Toronto Goalie Gilles Gratton. Earlier in the season Gratton said “San Diego is a nice town, all they need is a hockey team” during the three-star post-game interview after a Toronto victory. The quote was bulletin-board fodder that motivated the Mariners and a raucous sellout crowd who chided him all game and made him eat his words.

This was my WHA team and arguably the best hockey team to ever call San Diego home.
