Featuring Paul Caligiuri who went on to score “the shot heard around the world” the biggest goal in US soccer history. His goal changed soccer in the USA because it ended a 40 year drought in World Cup qualifying. The US has qualified for every World Cup since then. Update: The string of qualifications ended in 2017, the US will not participate in the World Cup 2018.

Had we not qualified for the 1990 World Cup, hosting USA ’94 might never have happened (or MLS). I think there should be a “Paul Caliguiri Trophy” for “MLS goal-of-the-decade” or something along those lines.
