Check out 16 Year old DaMarcus Beasley! His older brother Jamar Beasley also played for US Pro-40. From 1998-2000 this club competed in the United Soccer Leagues (USL). It was a project where 40 US prospects were developed more like the rest of the world—playing professionally in the critical years of development—16-22 years old. These players were specifically not playing College Soccer but were enrolled in colleges. This is because college players were getting only 25 competitive games a year—in a 3 month window (A problem that still persists in the US Colleges). See all the players that got their start on US Pro-40 in the tags below. Players include: Bobby Convey, Carlos Bocanegra, Kyle Beckerman, Chris Albright, DaMarcus Beasley, Danny Califf, Jimmy Conrad, Tim Howard, Chris Klein, Dema Kovalenko, Garth Lagerwey, Pablo Mastroeni, Curt Onalfo, Nick Remand and Josh Wolff.
