The LA Sharks tried to give the LA Kings a run for their money. In 1972-73 they averaged 5,982 to the Kings 10,833. In 1973-74 attendance dipped to 5,338 (the Kings averaged 11,113) and the Sharks packed their bags and moved to Cobo Hall in Detroit to become the Michigan Stags.
