San Diego Flash 1998 Inaugural Game Program

Nate Hetherington (the player in the photo) scored the first Flash goal against the legendary Jorge Campos in the team’s only exhibition game against Pumas of Mexico in Palm Springs.

This is a game program that I designed. Our only opportunity to aquire images to create Season Ticket Brochures, Ads etc. was this one game. There was no other imagery and we didn’t want to use generic stock images. The team got images from a photographer who was at the game. The only problem was that these were snap shots processed at the local drugstore. Luckily he had experimented with blurry shots a little and we were able to scan them and really push the colors.
