1978 California Surf Pennant

This California Surf Pennant was purchased at a California Surf game at Anaheim Stadium. They never really set the league on fire but they did put on a very big league approach. The Surf was originally the NASL original St. Louis Stars. Owner Bob Hermann, the Stars/Surf NASL original owner is who the “Hermann Trophy” is named for. It is college soccers’ Heisman and has been won by some familiar names:
