Soccer America Magazine Nov 1st 1979

This issue is College Soccer heavy and features Appalacian State’s Thompson Usiyan as the player of the week. Of course, Usiyan went on to an excellent career in the NASL and MISL.

The Seattle Sounders had a new owner, Vince Coluccio, who is interviewed on his vision.

One of our favorite sections was Lynn Berling’s “Short Passes” that had little tidbits of up-to-date news.
