Sockers Timbers 1981 Playoff Program

The San Diego Sockers hosted the Portland Timbers in the 1981 NASL Playoffs. 15,244 fans watched as Steve Nesin scored both goals in the Sockers win 2-0, advance to the quarterfinals. Nesin got the start in place of Sockers leading scorer Mike Stojanovic (23 goals) who was out for un-stated reasons (see Bill Center’s game article in the picture gallery).
